On July 19, a Microsoft cloud service outage caused chaos at several airports across the U.S., leading to numerous flight cancellations. IU’s team was caught in this situation, and their flight from Atlanta to Washington, D.C. was canceled, forcing them into an unforeseen predicament.
However, IU decided to take action and chose to drive instead. She traveled through the night for about 1000 km to Washington, D.C., which took over 10 hours on the road. With this long journey, she demonstrated her firm resolve not to disappoint her fans. IU shared, “My flight was canceled, and it was the first time in my life, well, for my driver too, to drive such a long distance. We drove through the night on the highway for 10 hours.”

Mr. Rattet and his wife had the opportunity to meet IU at her Oakland concert on July 30, where IU presented them with heartfelt gifts, including a signed album, a keyring, handwritten letters, and even a special gift for Mrs. Rattet.
