EVNNE has gifted fans with an exciting treat! On the 5th, they released a track preview video for their 4th mini album ‘HOT MESS’ through their official YouTube channel and social media. The video features snippets of six tracks, including the title song ‘HOT MESS’, along with behind-the-scenes footage from their concept photoshoot. It was the perfect opportunity to get a sneak peek of the new songs and raise the excitement for the full album!
The title track ‘HOT MESS’ marks EVNNE’s first foray into the pop-rock genre. With its crunchy guitar riffs and dynamic melody, this song grabs your attention and is super easy to sing along to. Written by members Yoo Seung Eon and Park Ji Hu, the track captures the essence of youth, encouraging listeners to embrace the chaos of emotions without rushing to find answers—just live in the moment!
The album’s other tracks bring even more variety. ‘Birthday’ is a warm, R&B-based pop song about feeling like every day is your birthday when you’re with someone you love. ‘Love Like That’ is a song about the sweet, complicated feelings that emerge when a friendship turns into something more. Written by member Ji Yoon Se, it perfectly captures EVNNE’s honest and straightforward approach to youthful emotions.
Then there’s ‘CROWN’, a heavy and energetic EDM track that sticks in your head thanks to the repeated chant of the word “CROWN”. It’s addictive and has a strong, intense vibe. ‘Youth’, written solely by Yoo Seung Eon, carries a powerful message with lyrics like, “Even if things don’t go as planned or we face obstacles, this moment is still part of my youth.” It’s all about embracing the ups and downs of growing up and the drive to achieve your dreams.
The final track, ‘景色 (KESHIKI) (Korean Ver.)’, was written and composed by leader Keita. It’s the Korean version of the digital single released last November in Japan. This song reflects the beauty and hope that can be found in the process of chasing your dreams and goals.
With ‘HOT MESS’, the members of EVNNE have played a huge role in the album’s creation, from co-writing and composing the tracks to contributing to the title song’s lyrics. Their active participation in writing and composing has expanded their musical range, and this comeback promises even more exciting growth for the group.
